Gift Guide Cleveland – Experiences

Post updated December 2019 It’s that time of year again. The time when I start to wonder what I’m going to purchase for the special people in my life. While a part of me wants to buy the items that are on their Christmas lists, another part of me always tries to figure out unique [...]

Urban Farmer: Chic and Not Cheap

October 22, 2014by KellyLeave a Comment on Urban Farmer: Chic and Not Cheap

Before you say anything, I know it may seem a little odd that a vegetarian is writing about Urban Farmer, a steak house. However, I have been very interested in checking out this restaurant ever since they opened as part of the Westin on the corner of East 6th and St. Clair. I think the [...]

New Brewery in Town: Platform Beer Co.

October 2, 2014July 31, 2015by KellyLeave a Comment on New Brewery in Town: Platform Beer Co.

If you haven't heard of the new Platform Beer Co. in Ohio City, it's probably because they just opened late this summer. I stopped by for my first visit a couple of weeks ago for a fundraiser they were hosting for Juvenile Diabetes. I took it as an excuse to support a great cause and get [...]

Are You Ready to Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Cleveland?

Updated 1/1/20: On this exceptionally steamy day, it seemed appropriate to introduce you to standup paddleboarding (SUP). Depending on how adventurous you are, you may have already checked it out. If you haven't, now is the time to get out onto the lake and cool off a bit. So what is standup paddleboarding (SUP)? You [...]

Critical Mass Stirs Conversation in Cleveland

June 4, 2014March 5, 2016by KellyLeave a Comment on Critical Mass Stirs Conversation in Cleveland

As I tried to figure out who was riding in this past Friday's Critical Mass bike ride, I was shocked to learn that many people have no idea what Critical Mass is. So let me break it down for you. Critical Mass is a group bike ride that occurs on the last Friday of the [...]

Lakewood Park sunset in the arctic tundra, otherwise known as Lake Erie. Brrr.
I can't believe it's already been a year since this amazing trip to Patagonia. Little did we know that a few weeks after we returned everything would be shut down and international travel, or travel of any kind, would be basically nonexistent. Some days it feels like a lifetime ago. Hoping to travel again soon!
A very frozen Lake Erie. Aside from it only being 18 degrees, it's quite beautiful.
Winter lunchtime walks with my mama. Benefit of her recent retirement! Beautiful down at Lakewood Park, but crazy cold.
Winter at Viaduct Park in Bedford. 35 years living in Cleveland and somehow I'd never been to visit before yesterday. It was so beauitful with the combination of icicles and waterfalls. I would highly recommend and it's a super short and paved trail from the parking lot, so very easy to get to.
Love this simple sunset shot in black and white. I took it a few years ago while waiting for the ferry on Ocracoke Island to go back to the Outer Banks.
