This is the week when all summer activities go live and your options become endless. Summer has almost officially started and there is something for everyone to enjoy. This is your guide to some of this week and weekend’s Cleveland activities, starting as early as today!
Think that I left out something important? Add it to the comments section below!
Wednesday: Wade Oval Wednesdays. I wanted to go last year and never made it. This year, there will no excuses. Each Wednesday in University Circle, free concerts take place at Wade Oval. You bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnic baskets and relax on the lawn from 6-9 p.m. with bands like Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band and The Cleveland Bluegrass Orchestra.
Thursday: Edgewater Live at the Lower Edgewater Lakefront Reservation. FINALLY, we are taking advantage of our lakefront with the Cleveland Metroparks. Another opportunity for live music, food trucks and more each Thursday this summer. If relaxing isn’t your style, try stand-up paddle boarding, yoga or disc golf. There is something to make everyone happy! Activities start at 5:30 p.m. and go through 8:30 p.m.
Friday: Tremont Art Walk from 6-10 p.m. Pray for beautiful weather so you can wander the quaint streets of Tremont, soak up some culture and have a beer or two on one of the patios around town. Treehouse has one of the most spacious patios, while I love how Barrio’s wraps around to the back of the restaurant. Not looking for art in the traditional sense? Hit up the Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival. You’ll be amazed at what can be created from duct tape!
Saturday: Parade the Circle in University Circle. Presented by The Cleveland Museum of Art and Circle Village, the parade features individuals who create their own floats, puppets, costumes and more. The parade starts at noon. In addition to the parade, you’ll find live music and delectable food. The Cleveland Flea will also be going on from 9 am to 4pm at Sterle’s Slovenian Country House. You never know what treasures you’ll find there!
Sunday: Happy Father’s Day!
